JULIA FAURE
Julia est ingénieure agronome de formation (AgroParisTech) et elle a un master en étude de genres de l'université Autonoma de Madrid. En 2016 Julia a co-fondé Loom, une marque de vêtements les plus durables possibles, qui a pour ligne directrice de préserver l'humain et l'écologie. Julia a une obsession pour l'industrie de la mode et du textile et cherche à rendre public tout ce qui ne tourne pas rond dans cette industrie.
SUR CET EPISODE
Sur cet épisode du podcast, Julia nous parle tout d'abord de la naissance de Loom et des débuts de l'aventure. Elle évoque la communauté qui est un facteur clef dans le succès de Loom. En effet, la marque fait notamment participé sa communauté dès la conception des vêtements via des formulaires. Julia décrit ensuite les autres étapes du processus de confection d'un vêtement Loom, et en particulier la phase de test qui est fondamentale. Julia revient sur ses expériences professionnelles passées : notamment chez Amazon en Espagne où Julia a eu un déclic et à La Ruche qui dit Oui ! Ensuite, elle évoque les engagements de Loom et leur mode de communication avec de nombreux contenus informatifs sur le blog "la mode à l'envers".
Puis nous nous sommes penchés sur les actions menées par les acteurs de la Fast Fashion, qui reste très insuffisantes. Enfin, Julia nous a raconté leur impressionnante levée de fonds via la plateforme d'investissement durable Lita.co (avec 500 000€ investis par 600 actionnaires individuels) ainsi que les projets futurs pour Loom.
