Welcome to the first Founders and Startups Podcast Broadcast from Lisa Conners Vogt, ACC, CPC!

This a Podcast Broadcast because it first started out as a YouTube Live event before this podcast was created from the audio of that video.

Here's what you can expect from future Founders and Startups shows...

I'll be bringing you insightful interviews with founders of for profit companies and non-profit organizations...individuals who've ridden the roller coaster of success and disappointments...who have weathered uncertainty, pivots and rapid growth, and are still pushing forward to their next set of goals.

Some names will be familiar to you and others won’t.

You'll be introduced to women and men whose stories don’t get enough airtime.

I plan to produce at least two broadcast podcasts per month. Some months you might see more and some less.

I’ll also be creating episodes where I’m sharing insights from these discussions and trends that I’ve identified from coaching.

You might be wondering who I am and why I’m creating Founders and Startups.

Here’s the quick story…and you can read more at my website…everbetteru.com.

I’m an Executive and Leadership Coach and I partner with my clients to help them transform their dreams into reality.

Over a 30 year career I held leadership positions across a wide range of industries and in April of 2018, I left my corporate marketing job to be a full-time coach! You can find more about my background on LinkedIn. I invite you to connect with me. I'm at Lisa Conners Vogt.

This is my second podcast. You can find 90 episodes of my first podcast, Ever Better on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Google Play, and Spotify.

With Ever Better I created the foundation that I’m building on for Founders and Startups.

I set out to interview people who were living extraordinary lives and people whose life stories and transitions really inspired me.

A few important shifts happened for me as I created those episodes.

First – I became an Executive and Leadership Coach. As I interviewed guests, I began to be asked if I was a coach. And finally, I said YES and became a coach! Now, I’ve been through many hours of training and mentor coaching and am certified through the International Coach Federation and the College of Executive Coaching.

Second – I found myself drawn to entrepreneurs. I loved hearing their stories and the drive to make something new really resonated with me. So, I began coaching entrepreneurs and other leaders in their organizations.

Third – I loved creating the podcast but in my reach for perfection, I made it way too hard on myself! I wanted every syllable and question to be perfect. Just like you hear on NPR!

And what I’ve realized is those shows are created by an entire team working on them full-time! That’s very different than my setup. If you ever want to hear the difference between an artfully crafted show and an unedited one, subscribe to On Being with Krista Tippet. She publishes her “unedited shows” and her edited ones. To get the full experience, listen to both of then back-to-back one week and you’ll be amazed at the difference!

This time around I’m doing things differently. I’m going to interview my guests on YouTube in a Live Broadcast, and then Josh at Podcastguymedia.com is going to turn the video into a podcast with minimal editing. You can expect more ums, ahs, and awkward questions than I delivered through Ever Better! Each episode will be perfectly imperfect. I promise!

To hear future shows, please subscribe and tell your friends about the podcast! And, if you'd like to be notified about YouTube Live podcasts so that you can listen in and submit questions as the conversation unfolds, send me an email at [email protected] and I'll add you to the notification list.
