In my homily today I highlighted one of my favorite lines in the Bible: "Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope" (1 Peter 3:15).
My three points:
- "A Reason for Your Hope"
- The "Information" Age?
- Love Seeks Understanding
Here is some material I referenced:
- Books:
- Beginning Apologetics (this set of books played a big part in my intellectual conversion)
- Catechism of the Catholic Church (Every Catholic should have this book!)
- Sheen's Life of Christ (one of the best books ever written on Our Lord)
- (I am intending on making a list of my favorite books and making it available, but until that happens, perhaps my Goodreads account can give you some ideas.)
- Podcasts: Anything from Fr. Mike Schmitz is great. Check out his "Bible in a Year" or "Catechism in a Year"
- Radio: Check out Ave Maria Radio or ETWN Radio
- TV: EWTN
