Doctor Who: Radio Free Skaro
It’s a bittersweet podcast today as we wrap up what has been a fantastic weekend at Gallifrey One, our home away from home. But it’s even more sad as it’s been announced that Gallifrey One will end its unprecedented run of conventions in 2028. It will take a while for the Three Who Rule to process this (probably more than the three years the convention has left), but fun is still had with Doctor Who writer Andrew Smith joining the Three for a recap of the convention, Big Finish secrets, and naturally, talk of The Sandbaggers. The Swarm is vicious and malignant this week, consuming Steven’s vocal chords in a perilous fashion, so it’s up to Warren and Chris to help with news descriptions about the Radio Free Skaro Gallifrey One live show, episode 1000 featuring Doctor Who showrunner and writer/producer Steven Moffat and executive producer Julie Gardner for an hour of wit and wisdom. Plus, the aforementioned Gallifrey One schedule is out in the wild, news from Russell Tovey on The War Between The Land and The Sea, a new trailer for the Season 7 Blu-Ray Collection, tat, exhibitions and Episode Three of our exciting...

The Swarm (but not the COVID kind) has befallen a husky-voiced Steven this week and yet in spite of that (or because of it?) he made an appearance on Edmonton radio, one 880 CHED, and explained to local norms both the exciting world of Doctor Who and the mysterious practice of Radio Free Skaro-ing, which you can listen to on this very episode! Plus we have even more Gallifrey One news, an interesting and free TARDIS diary for UK folk, and Episode Two of our exciting and very focused Classic Series Commentary on “The Moonbase”! It’s the annual tradition of our Radio Free Skaro livestream with Steven, Warren, and special guest Kyle Anderson as they look at “Joy to the World,” the latest traditional Xmas special written by Steven Moffat, along with a tsunami of other Doctor Who content including the Doctor Who Proms, behind the scenes fun like Unleashed and The War Games in Colour! Also, Thrill to fulsome praise of The Space Pirates, and less enthusiastic about The Savages, which has nothing to do with any of the above! Links:
info_outlineIt is the beginning of Warren’s 54th trip around the Sun (aka Hot Orbie) as we release this episode and as such the Three Who Rule ponder news of new Gallifrey One guests, the official announcement of an animated recon of the 1966 Doctor Who story “The Savages”, an unofficial and very cool animated recon of “The Wheel in Space”, Doctor Who audio news, Steven’s overcomplicated Andor-Doctor Who-Disney+ conspiracy-laden paranoia, and an exciting interview with both Paul and Sonny McGann from Chicago TARDIS! Enjoy!
