info_outlinePaul writes to the Corinthians because they were acting proud and trying to show off how wise and important they were. But Paul reminds them that real wisdom isn’t about sounding smart or being better than others. God’s wisdom is totally different—it often looks weak or foolish to the world, like Jesus dying on the cross. But that was actually God’s powerful plan to save us.
We can’t figure this out on our own. Only God’s Spirit can help us understand. If you believe in Jesus, it’s not because you’re clever—it’s because God showed it to you by grace.
