info_outlineIn episode 330 of the Glass and Out Podcast we revisit one of our favourite talks from last year's TCS Live conference. Cleveland Browns Assistant GM Catherine Hickman took to the stage to deliver a powerful keynote address: Leveraging Human Capital: The Formula to Winning in Sport.
Hickman is a Canadian woman who grew up speaking French. With this in mind, and considering there are only 32 franchises in the league and limited roles available, her rise through the football ranks to become the sport's highest ranking female executive has been remarkable, and well-earned.
She is originally from Montreal and practiced as a corporate tax attorney before pivoting into a career in football, her dream growing up. In 2015 she took on an internship with the CFL’s Montreal Allouetes and the rest as they say is history. Prior to joining the Browns, Hickman spent 4 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, working under two time Super Bowl Champion and Executive of the Year, Howie Roseman.
You can watch the video of her presentation now on The Coaches Site. Not a member? Start your 30 day free trial today!
Listen as she shares the importance of standards over rules, the difference between culture fit vs add, and how to lead from the middle.
