I can't believe we are actually on our first anniversary, and we launched this show about global nomads being global citizens and living a life that really embraces the world community and being part of it on so many different levels during a pandemic, when no one could travel and we've had an incredible year.

As a journalist who featured the lives and challenges of prominent women leaders, my mom's range was unusual for most women in the traditional Indian society where we lived. After growing up in Newton and graduating from Duke University, Jonathan Soroff, 54, began his journalism career at The Boston Herald. For 28 years, he was the lead columnist for The Improper Bostonian Magazine, writing the social column and a celebrity interview in every issue and contributing numerous features.
He’s written for a variety of publications, ranging from People Magazine, London's Royal Academy Magazine, The South China Morning Post, Modern Luxury, Dujour, The National, and the South African editions of Elle and Elle Decor. He is currently a contributing editor at Boston Magazine, writing the Person of Interest interview, a quarterly column, and travel content, and he produces travel stories for numerous national and international publications.
For several years, he co-hosted a weekly radio program, “Status Report,” on Boston Herald Radio. In 2013, he published his first novel, "Crimes of Fashion.” He serves on the Board of Overseers at The Boston Ballet, the Advisory Board of the Trustees of the Reservations, the Board of Corporators for Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, MA, and is a director of the NET Research Foundation, which funds research into carcinoid cancer and related tumors. He lives in Newton, MA, with his husband, Sam Mazzarelli.
