Next, China’s BYD unveils a second-generation Blade Battery claiming major gains in range and charging speed, including 10–70% in about five minutes, strong performance after 24 hours at −30°C, and new 1500 kW “plug and play” flash chargers; BYD doesn’t sell passenger cars in the US but may have an opening in Canada. Finally, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says Nvidia’s days of investing in companies like OpenAI and Anthropic are over, citing OpenAI’s expected IPO and noting Nvidia has committed about $30B versus earlier $100B headlines while continuing to profit from chip sales.
