Hot Diggity Dog

For this extra spooky flashback episode of Hot Diggity Dog (originally released Oct 25, 2018), we cover the 'Burbs-aping The Dog Who Saved Halloween. The film stars Dean Cain (or is it Teen Cain?), Lance Henriksen at his creepiest, and Joey Lawrence ("Whoa!") as a talking dog. If you love picking up dog turds, a bumbling idiot consistently avoiding jail time, and a denouement which basically says, "We were just making this up as we went along!" then this is the movie for you!

We're back to discuss Ally & Obie (or is it Allie & Obie), a movie that might be one of the worst-made movies we've ever covered. Prepare to have a flashback to a scene from 10 minutes prior. Get ready to experience an actual school math class and all the tension-filled memories that conjures up. And let you granddad teach you how to pray. All so you can go to Disneyland. This is a wild one.

After a longer-than-expected hiatus, we're back with a new mini episode! We're shaking things up this week to clear off this list and get some new blood in here. We also talk about Clifford's big red dong for some reason (because of course we did).

Hot Diggity Dog

On this episode, we discuss Sky Dog, a movie that’s not really a dog movie at all, much to our chagrin. It does have an absolute dork of a hero, though, plus a fake Mark Harmon, doughy CIA Agents, and maybe the least engaged Dean Cain performance of all time, and that’s saying something!

On today's mini episode, we randomly select a dog movie to cover on next week's full episode. No more robot dogs! But we've got Ally & talking dog Obie waiting around. Plus titular doggos Sheeba and Beethoven are still there too. AND we're adding a high-flying spy-tastic newcomer in Skydog! Who will win? The only way to find out is to listen now!

Hot Diggity Dog

This week on the show we're getting more robot dog action with A.R.C.H.I.E., which, unlike C.H.O.M.P.S., is at least acronym'd correctly. It stars Michael J. Fox as our titular dog, and he's doing the best among a cast of folks not really trying. There's numerous dropped plot threads, some weird details about the inner workings of this robot dog, and a whole lot of farting. Way too much farting honestly.

On today's mini episode, we randomly select a dog movie to cover on next week's full episode. C.H.O.M.P.S. is gone but in its place is another robot dog: A.R.C.H.I.E! Ally & talking dog Obie are also still hanging out, waiting for their chance to shine. Or could Sheeba or classic dog Beethoven win the grand prize (which is, uh, us talking about them)? The only way to find out is to listen now!

More Episodes

This week on the show, we're reincarnated as a dog to discuss 1995's Fluke. This is one of those "heartwarming" family movies where a man is reincarnated as an animal to learn a lesson. The lesson in this case? He was an asshole and he died due to his own stupidity. Along the way, he almost kills his son and his best friend and leaves his wife with the knowledge that her husband is out in the world in dog form. On the plus side, Samuel L. Jackson voices a dog and a monkey carries a puppy.
