Howard Tiersky is a serial entrepreneur and author of the Wall Street bestseller Winning Digital Customers: The Antidote to Irrelevance. Since 2007, he has served as CEO of the management consulting firm FROM, The Digital Transformation Agency.

In this episode, Howard dissects that all-too-common buzzword, “digital transformation”, explaining it via the evolution of nearly every aspect of our lives since 2010, from commerce, banking, and transportation, all the way to dating, fitness, and career.

“It’s hard to find any domain in our lives that hasn’t been significantly shifted because of these smartphones in our pockets and other digital touchpoints.” says Howard. Therefore, businesses who don’t adapt fast enough to these ever-shifting domains will be left behind.

Listen in as Howard dives into the antidote to irrelevance describing it as the right way to go about digital transformation within your business by identifying your customers’ pain points in order to craft the appropriate modern solutions for them.

He goes on to speak about best practices for linking digital strategy to customer experience. At the same time, he provides the caveat that companies should be careful not to prioritize all things digital at the expense of every other facet of doing business with human beings.

Finally, Howard goes into the principles he writes about in his previous book, Impactful Online Meetings.
