What happens when you hit your late 30s, read an inspirational book, and decide it’s finally time to get six-pack abs? Naturally, you start a cooking show on YouTube. Don’t call it a comeback, but Clinton Taylor, one of the very first guests on this podcast (episode 3!), has returned to the creative fold. After stepping away from stand-up comedy, he’s reemerged with a hilariously grounded and refreshingly honest cooking show. Listen to the episode, then go subscribe to Clinton’s Kitchen on YouTube. I had the usual amount of nerves that come with interviewing someone I’ve never met in person. However, those nerves disappeared the moment J. Isaiah Evans pulled up to the podcast studio in a brown car. The make and model are irrelevant. The important detail is that it was brown. You see, I, Travis Wright, have long wanted to buy a car in a sophisticated and timeless brown hue. Knowing that J. Isaiah is also a man of impeccable style, my nerves vanished. It felt like a sign from the universe that this episode was destined for greatness. J. Isaiah is best known as the frontman of the band 40...

There was a palpable tension in the room. Jonathan hadn't been on the podcast in a long time. Our last interaction was through a text message where he thanked me for an article I wrote about his previous full album release "Borrowed Time". I thought the article was clever and complementary but, it ultimately said that the music didn't resonate with me. Did the article enrage him? Was he playing the long game? Pretending to be appreciative of the article but secretly waiting until he could come on the pod to confront me? I've never thought of him as a violent man but, he could've been training...

Matt George is the guitarist for The Yes Ma'am band. He is a man with only first names. Even his middle name (which we reveal in this episode) is a first name. In addition to that amazing fact, we found out before starting the interview that we are neighbors and live on the same street. I walk my dog by his house everyday. The universe is weird, man! But seriously, the band is awesome and Matt was a great guy to chat with about many different subjects. So please, check out my neighbor's interview and go check out his band! Enjoy!

Jacob Marshall is a stand-up comic and show producer in the Dallas/Ft. Worth comedy scene. Hopefully this interview is good but, in truth, it was sabotaged from the beginning. Sadly, only a couple of days before this interview, I went to trim my beard and I had it on the wrong setting. After accidentally taking a large chunk of my beard off my face I had no choice but to shave it all off and regrow it. So through most of the interview I'm just sitting across from Jacob staring at his glorious beard wishing I still had mine to give my jawline the male equivalent of contouring and to hide my...

Chandler Cooper is a writer, rapper, singer and performer and social media star. Although he is likely not very wealthy, a lazy google search will confirm that he's worth millions of dollars and is the most successful rapper to hail from Cleburne, TX. The second part of that statement is likely true. Shout out to the Burne! During this interview Chandler required multiple bathroom breaks. Did we take a bathroom break together? Yes. Did we take that as an opportunity to sword fight and cross streams? You'll have to listen to the interview to find out. Be sure to check out his latest music video...

Zac Webb is a stand-up comic from the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Yes, we talk about stand-up comedy and all of the usual things but, it should be noted that he has been working out A LOT and getting in shape. So throughout most of this interview I was just in my own head thinking about how I'm fat and need to lose weight. I'm not sure if this inner monologue made the interview better or worse. You'll have to listen to find out. Also, Zac is really funny and you should go watch him live. Enjoy! I'M A FAN OF links: Zac Webb Links: Instagram: Facebook:

Will Rakkar is the lead singer and guitarist in the North Texas Indie band Phantomelo. Will showed up with beer which automatically makes him better than the guests that didn't show up with alcohol. Because of this gesture, I'm going to insist that you all make Phantomelo your new favorite band. They did just release a new single called Home which we talk about on the show amongst many other things. Go stream their new single, then stream everything else and then go to a show. Enjoy!
