Unani BioTypes are an ancient method of identification and categorization of the different types of Humans. They have been used to treat both physical and mental imbalances by doctors and healers throughout history. This information has long been shared amongst the Islamic Medicine community and is just now making its way into the western world and English language.
While Unani BioTypes use the same terminology as other temperaments, Unani BioTypes focuses more on biology in addition to personality whereas other temperaments focus on the personality without much regard to the biological elements and features that influence them.
Humans are 70% biology and 30% personality. While modern psychology tends to look at a person as 100% personality, Unani BioTypes takes the biology behind behavior into account as well.
