"Mama said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this my mama said"- The Shirelles said it all except my mama did not tell me I would be faced with experiencing a quarantine nor a pandemic. If there was nothing else to make us adults faster, the current state of our world surely has. I can bet my COVID-19 stimulus check that no one enjoys the feeling of not being in control. Although you may not currently have the freedom and control of when you can leave your house, there is something that you still have an ability to control, and that is your mind. Today's guest...

In Today's episode, Jasmine Matsoyan (@jasminematsoyan) and I are discussing Passion & Grit. Jasmine is a paralegal at Hallmark, business owner of @elitebakerycafe in Sacramento, and content manager. Based on my experience and research, I believe it is the true key to success in any area of your life and you can't have one without the other. Cue the Love & Marriage theme song with Al Bundy. info_outline"What's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" - William Shakespeare
If I may so myself, Shakespeare was on to something when he wrote this in Romeo & Juliet. Juliet pretty much is complaining that his name is meaningless. If the rose had any other name it would still be the same, a rose.
So, I want to table a question...What's In A Title? Whether you have a title or not, it's not that which defines you. I believe that there are so many other ingredients that define who we are as individuals. Unfortunately, we are in the day and age where social media, as well as pockets of America, place emphasis on your title and the number of followers one has. It determines how much you will be paid and sometimes how you are respected in different circles and environments.
In an effort, to cause a movement that will break the negative stigma and pressure off of being defined by a title, today's episode is geared towards just that.
We step Into The Soles Of...Misty Anderson who doubles as the force support behind Erica Cambpell (Mary Mary) and operations manager to a music label, My Block Inc. She truly is more than her title. We are discussing how to show up no matter what level you are in the organization, how you can define your role and not let it define you, and so many other inspirational nuggets that will help you get to write your own story, define who you are, and how you choose to show up in the world.
Be sure to listen all the way through for the segment, The Sole Truth & Nothing But The Truth, and find out her nickname. Here is a hint, it's a character from Nickelodeon. Find out the must-have books for your career that you must order ASAP.
