Harping In Place IX (again) I've been in the throes of moving into Senior housing for the past 2-1/2 months.  My present apartment (with its nerve-wracking pervasive 120 Hz hum) runs interference on my ability to create music, and I haven't been able to play anything new, so here is another one of my favourites from during the pandemic.  I'll be in a new apartment soon (next week) which I hope will be conducive to playing again.  Namasté  file = 200330_1214 Harping in Place IX 18m [320 kbs mp3] 2020 © Joan Patrie please enjoy this original music for your personal use...

suite IV: Evening Spells

[warning: this will put you to sleep, so don't listen while driving]

Notes: from my archives, from a time when I did my composition on a Rhodes 73 stage piano.  Before I picked up the harp, the Rhodes was my main instrument

In this recording, I'm playing my Rhodes live at a venue; and then, using the recording as accompaniment, I played my flute live at the same venue the next week (and then I sold CDs of it the week after that ;-) So, this is me playing straight ahead, Live, in two layers

[ iTunes season 2, episode 57] 12m24s [circa mid ’90s]
