Deer season is wrapping up and we're already looking forward to next year on the podcast with host Mike Avery, his son James and KFP's Rich Chrzan. The guys discuss how to improve results on Mike and James' lease property plots. The conversation includes soil quality, the size of the plots, the best seed blends...and more. They also talk about adding some KFP products like Retain and Border Patrol to get the best results. This is the first part of an ongoing series to monitor the project and keep track of the progress.

Jake describes the process of how he and his Dad put in a food plot in the middle of farm country, and the deer flocked to it. He describes watching a beautiful 140 inch ten point cross a mile of winter wheat to chase does in the plot. Jake was able to harvest that buck with a twelve yard shot.

Nick says there could still be some cold and frost in the north country....so better to wait a few weeks before planting.
