Lessons in Getting it Wrong show art Lessons in Getting it Wrong

Lakeside United Methodist Church

Sermon Title ~ Lessons in Getting it Wrong Scripture ~ 2 Samuel 12:13 In scripture we see David’s storied maturation from humble shepherd boy to Israel’s most beloved King. Though his tale is full of great deeds made possible by the Lord’s blessings, it is not without spot or blemish. In spite of this, David is know as one after God’s own heart. Holding these things together we learn that connection and relationship with God has less to do with always getting it right, and more to do with how we move forward when we fall short.

Sermon Title: Time After Time

Scripture: Psalm 84: 1-4…10-12

The Psalms are some of the most vulnerably human sacred writings we have. Within them we find deeply expressive poetry about almost every human emotion from joy to crushing sadness. What we learn from studying them is that no matter what we may be experiencing in life, God is always present with us.
