“The greatest battle we face as human beings is the battle to protect our true selves from the self the world wants us to become.” - E.E Cummings

As shared by writer & speaker Jonathon Seidl, the truth is that we all wear masks. We pretend. We fake it. We try to be someone or something we’re not. Or we hide. We’re ashamed to reveal our true selves, our true identity because we don’t think we’ll be accepted. We want to be loved for who we are, but we tell ourselves that “who we are” isn’t what others want to see.

In this episode I discuss the masks we sometimes wear to help us navigate through life. While it might serve a survival purpose in the short-term, long-term we lose ourselves in the process of trying to please others. I also share personal insights regarding how to remove your masks and live your authentic life.
