info_outlineHow is your day going? Chris and I hit the beach with the boys for a few days last week, and it was a refreshing change of scenery for us. We had a chance to read and play and hang out together and it was just what we needed! One of the books we read on our two-day getaway is Addison Bevere’s Saints: Becoming More Than "Christians”. I gotta admit, the title had us a bit stumped, but the message within explained and inspired us so much that we decided to have him on the podcast!
Addison (son of Lisa & John Bevere), believes it is time to become more than just cultural Christians and start seeing and living as the saints that we are. Did you know that the word ‘Christian’ is only used three times in the New Testament, but the word 'Saint' is used over sixty times? Paul starts almost every letter ’To the saints…’ and that’s you and me! "Saints is not just a name for dead people, it is meant to be our new identity that shapes our destiny. Saints are people who break down barriers between the secular and the sacred, and people who see the intersection of faith in everyday life".
We can’t wait for you guys to hear this podcast and let it reframe the way you see yourself. We pray this message will equip you to see and live boldly as your saintly identity sinks in.
