Love What You Love

Hi everyone! As you might have noticed, LWYL hasn't come back this summer. I don't anticipate we'll be back until later this year. Here's the deal: this is the first time I've actually had an extended stretch of relaxation in...maybe ever? Even though LWYL gives me so much joy, there's a lot of work involved and I'm enjoying having my weekends to just chill out. That said, I love y'all, and miss you! I'll keep you updated as to LWYL's return.

Love What You Love

Welp everyone, I’m fixing a sign outside my door for a little bit that says “Gone Fishin’”. It’s time to take a little hiatus from Love What You Love. I started the podcast two years ago, and it has brought so much joy into my life - and hopefully into yours, too.  ut it does take a lot of time and effort, and while I love it and it’s so meaningful to me, I have to admit: I’m tired.   Because I do everything myself - finding guests, scheduling, interviewing, editing, promotion, the whole shebang - it’s a little bit like a second job. A second job that I have to...

More Episodes

Anirudh Kanisetti is a scholar and the host of two history podcasts, Echoes of India and Yuddha, all about the military history of the Indian subcontinent. He’s super thoughtful and insightful - but even more, he’s absolutely passionate about the subject.

Did you know that India is the size of Europe, but even more diverse and many times more populous - comprising about one-sixth of humanity?  How much do you know about India and the subcontinent? How much do you know about its history?

In this chat, Anirudh and I talk suppressed histories; the political dangers of uncovering history; the Germany of India; the best movie you’ve probably never even heard about; our world in a younger state; the not-so-new concept of globalization; and so much more.
