She has over 10 years of experience working and volunteering in the field of leisure and recreation as well as the non-profit and private sectors. Alongside her role as Executive Director, Amanda is also currently undertaking a Master of Arts degree in Applied Health Sciences and is expected to graduate in 2020.
Amanda joins me today to discuss her role as Executive Director and the changes she wants to enact for Downtown Oshawa. She describes her academic merits and what it’s like to be a student and a public worker at the same time. She explains the problems Oshawa has and her proposed solutions for them. She also shares why the organization is rebranding and what we can expect after this overhaul.
