...and not the good kind. If you’re like us, you would have thought COVID would be a distant memory by now as we are almost a year into it. Sadly, that’s not the case and even with the vaccine on the horizon, will we go back to life and dating as we know it in 2021? On today’s episode, Gena and TJ talk about the changes to the dating landscape, good (and warm) date spots this winter that won’t get you muuuurdered (like inviting a stranger to your house for a first date could), and some bullshit called “slow dating” that Bumble coined.

Hi friends! It’s us! Do you remember us? We know it has been a minute, but COVID has hit Chicago hard (us included!) so taping and lining up guests has been tough. Today’s episode is just us...unless you include our antibodies and then that makes the ménage. TJ and Gena catch up on life, recent heartbreaks, life changes, and random shit. Thanks so much for the continued support! We love you guys!
info_outlineLoving Day is an annual celebration held on June 12, the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia which struck down all anti-miscegenation laws remaining in sixteen U.S. states. In the United States, anti-miscegenation laws were U.S. state laws banning interracial marriage, mainly forbidding marriage between 2 different races, until the Warren Court ruled unanimously in 1967 that these state laws were unconstitutional. Chief Justice Earl Warren wrote in the court majority opinion that "the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual, and cannot be infringed by the State."
This week we are joined by Brandon and Indira, an interracial couple in their first year of marriage. We talk about their journey as a couple, navigating the potential landmines, the impact of microaggressions, and we talk about the importance of difficult conversations.
