Lacey and Stephanie bring on their very first STRIPPER today. Melanie has been dancing in Colorado for years — though some of you might have already been introduced to her as ✨Venus Virga✨😉.
To kick it off, the girls discuss their curiosities about how people’s perception changes about Melanie once they find out she’s a stripper, which led Lacey into opening up about her own experiences with Sexual Assault and not being respected sexually. This makes them reflect on just how powerful and healing the #MeToo movement was because it gave victims a chance to be heard.
Melanie answers all of the questions we’ve always wanted to know. From why she got into it, how it makes her feel, her financial freedom, ~creepy~ guy stories, and her personal pole tricks. (She does it in a headstand, y’all. 🤭🤩)
As self-proclaimed boundary pushers, you know we couldn’t just leave it at that. So when we say we get PERSONAL this episode, we dive aaaall the way into questions like “Do you get 💦 down there while performing?” and “Do guys get 🍆 while you’re dancing?”
This was one of the most fun episodes we’ve done to date, and especially with all of the stigma that can surround stripping and sex work in general, it was honestly so refreshing to chat with Melanie about what it’s taught her about herself and empowerment, the close connections and security it’s brought her, and most importantly how much she LOVES her work.
This entire interview lead us to…
✨F*%K it, we’re becoming strippers.✨
