When it comes to creating an online business you need to remember a few things.
- You have to be patient — It will not happen overnight
- You will create things online that DO NOT WORK — It’s ok to fail
- If you put in the time upfront creating VALUABLE products and experiences you will benefit greatly later on.
An online entrepreneur’s ultimate goal is to build an online business that takes advantage of automated systems, which allow transactions, cash flow, and other forms of monetization take place without having actually to be there in person.
It all starts with a website.
A website will be the first step to any successful online business. It’s the first thing most of your potential customers/community will encounter when it comes to your brand and business. I like to consider it the FACE of my online business.
There are a few free options for website creation such as wordpress.com, Weebly, Tumblr, and a few more. I would not recommend this for a number of reasons. The number one reason being that your main URL will most likely have some extension of the platform. Example: www.yourwebsite-tumblr.com. You do not want this in the long run because you are trying to build a brand and this will not help with that, not to mention you will have much fewer options to customize your site to fit your needs.
I use and trust Bluehost for all of my sites including this one.
I have used Bluehost since the beginning of my online business career and have been completely satisfied. Their customer support is fantastic, and the platform is extremely flexible.
