Episode 18 Facing Danger Head On & A Reunion

Despite the warnings, these fearless, intrepid explorers travel towards the unknown and impending possible doom. We laugh in the face of danger as we head towards the Maori playground of old. Following the highs of adrenaline, a reunion takes place. This double banger of an episode is going the be the last one for a while, for reasons I’ll explain in the episode. Consider this an end of season one, but I WILL BE BACK, I promise! I’ve got to come back, we’re only a third of the way through the trip and there’s so much more to come with plenty of weirdness, music and photography to come....

I have joined Annabel and James as we head off, travelling south away from Franz Joseph. It’s a long day of travelling (which is a now a mystery of why that was), with great roads, great sights and great tunes although that’s a matter of opinion it would seem. Episode 16 - Scaling a Glacier

In this episode I venture to the small village of Franz Joseph, to take on the physical challenge of scaling a massive glacier. However, I did overestimate how much water I’d need, and how much breakfast I could eat beforehand. I also made a wonderful discovery about waterproof clothing, experienced a biblical weather event that caused a potential disaster! I also made new friends and had a mostly pleasant evening.
