Derek Jeffery is the Vice President & General Manager for KGET-TV, Telemundo, and CW Bakersfield stations. As a native to Bakersfield, he attended local schooling before receiving an athletic scholarship to Utah State University. That is where he received his degree in Broadcast Journalism. He returned home to start his professional career at KGET-TV in 2004 as a non-paid weekend intern and ascended through the ranks being promoted to Vice President/General Manager in 2014. Mr. Jeffery is a voice, advocate, and staunch supporter of his hometown currently serving on several local non-profit boards and is the current City Chairman for the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce.
David Perkins started his sales and marketing career at Advanced Beverage as a sales manager while earning his Bachelor's degree in marketing. He then moved to Urners Furniture Store as their marketing director where he spent the next 10 years. During that time he always dreamt of owning his own business and armed with his love for community and writing he became a publisher at the Rio Bravo Publication. After two years he acquired the Seven Oaks Magazine which is now Greets Seven Oaks, and is celebrating 9 years as the publisher and owner.
Danielle Alcala is a big believer in community and got her start in marketing by working with local non profits. She has helped multiple organizations such as: Tiger Fight, JJ’s Legacy, Teen Challenge, and many others with their fundraising by using her knowledge of social media and current trends. She is a current board member of ADAKC as well as the NOR Chamber. When she isn’t working with her clients you can find her helping out at the Fox Theater or ice skating at Mechanics Bank.
