Today on the 5: For our commentary film this week, Lando and I watched 1987's . If you only heard the synopsis and looked at the box art, you'd probably expect a low effort junky monster movie. Instead, this is a surprisingly fun and well paced B movie about a monster that isn't really all that evil!

Today on the 5: For one of our commentary films this week we watched a holiday horror classic, 1974's . This may surprise some listeners, but I'd never seen this movie although it's been on my watchlist for quite a while now. Having seen it, I completely agree that this one is a must see regardless of whether you watch it at the holidays or not.
info_outlineToday on the 5: Every few months or so, we get another round of people complaining that the iPad is an overpowered piece of hardware and that Apple needs to unlock the true potential of the platform. Many of these same people have reported that Apple has no interest in either a "convertible" laptop or just adding a touchscreen to their portable computers. Doesn't that all point to a pretty clear conclusion?
