info_outlineIn this episode Ruth talks to the legend maker Melanie Gow who is helping us discover the power in our story to stand out, connect, and make an impact. I first spoke to Melanie about a year before she signed up to AYS, and since then she has launched and run two sold out and successful programs since, teaching entrepreneurs and leaders how to capture, package and deliver their Brand Story and create a TED worthy Signature Speech to connect with vision and influence from the stage.
Melanie honed her skills in the “reel” world of movies during the Weinstein era and used them to become is a published non-fiction author, a crowd-funded publisher and, after walking her sons for 33 days over the Pyrenees and across Spain for 800km, when they were aged 16 and 12, she had a national inspirational speaking tour and an invite to the TEDx red carpet.
She dares you to tell her your story and she will tell you all the possibilities in it. Melanie is known in some worlds as a Brand Story Strategist, but in her world she believes she makes legends over at Make Your Story Matter; she is going to be showing us why your story makes good business, and tackle the “too many stories” to “is my story worth telling” blocks to focus on the meaning in our experience, curate our genius, create our legacy, and feel on purpose.
