He was a radical follower of Jesus Christ's teachings, particularly as found in the Sermon on the Mount (including Christ's controversial admonitions to...

Raymond Kidd is in love with two women, which is unusual only because they live a hundred and fifty years apart, and he has no warning when he is going to be transferred from one to the other. Hear the story of his dilemma, and revisit the dynamic world of bustling nineteenth century Halifax, in the disturbing tale of The Flaw in the Fabric, Book 1 of A Travellers Guide for Lost Souls.

A rift in time sends the hero of The Flaw in the Fabric, Raymond Kidd, from present to past and back again. Through a similar rift, the temperamental brothers Daggon reincarnate after spending two hundred years as lost souls in the neither-here-nor-there land of the In Between. Angle is a recovering pirate. Octave is a mama’s boy grown bold.

Raymond awakens in the past from which the brothers came as the merchant captain Oliver Cole. Captain Cole loves his wife Josephine and daughter Amelie – the Raymond in him remembers his beloved wife from the future, Cat McCallum.

And in the future, with the help of Angle and Octave, Raymond’s father, and the retired detective Gordon Daggon (descendant of Angle and Octave), Cat is summoning Raymond back.

Raymond's return includes a detour through a cavernous magical feast during which he is charged by the king of that realm with an important mission: to write A Travellers Guide for Lost Souls.

Review
“Eighteenth century time travel, grinding existential angst and hearty dollops of Buddhist-flavored metaphysics combine to make Jim Lindsey’s ‘A Travellers Guide for Lost Souls’ a delightful adventure to read. ”
