We explore the future of retail for entrepreneurs and hear insights into what retailers should invest in when it comes to innovation and technology. How do retailers differentiate themselves and put customers at the center of everything they do? And as a consumer, what should you consider before doing business with a specific company?

Manjit offers her insight as a Dragon from CBC’s Dragon’s Den and discusses what she looks for before she considers investing. Also what stands out for her as a consumer, and how she has seen the retail space change over the years. We discuss the increasing importance of environmental, social and governance policies and what they mean to both retailers and customers.

John unpacks what the physical footprint of retail space might look like in the future, and the role data plays for the success of both small and large businesses. How consumers experience retail in the future will be influenced by the technology and innovation that is embraced today. This means there are a lot of areas for today’s retailers to focus on to remain relevant and customer focused.
