Perez is a drummer/percussionist with numerous credits dating back to the 1970s, currently performing and recording with his wife, singer-songwriter-keyboardist Beth McKee.

He teamed with his brother Ron to form Fat Albert Productions in the 1970s, producing several noteworthy artists out of the famous Criteria Studios in Miami.
