The Scallywag’s nemesis, Xethir, would soon return. With the Surgepyres soon to be under his control, he would resurrect his otherworldly god with the power of an interdimensional surge that happens every thousand years… and the clock had run down.
The first step to get ahead of him, was find the first heartstone fragment of his dead god, before his minions. But with the curator telling our heroes that a contract was out to market to do just that, the pressure was on. They would first head to the capital city, Sehira.
With their time in their new home of Delnori coming to an end, they prepared to cover their tracks, fooling an assassin of the Opari who hunted Ahmaya that she had recently died… leading to an extravagant fabricated funeral.
But it worked, and with the assassin caught, Moxie’s birthday a roaring success, our heroes hit the road to their first stop on the long road to the capital; Talbennery.
