Every cancer has different types and a variety of life stories to tell. For this episode, LaTonya shares the challenges in raising her NepSon (Nephew Son) and how she told him about her diagnosis. And also the heartbreak of burying your own sister.

“A lot of times you hear a lot of stuff we are not alone You are not alone. But the reality is you still longing to feel alone. I'm a strong and I don't know if this was the same for you like, you could tell me that all day. I felt so alone and devastated. I lost my sister. But more importantly, it's like, oh my god, like this is a incurable disease. So, to that person who's newly diagnosed, I would definitely say like getting finding your tribe of people who will be able to support you in every sense of the word because there are definitely cultural differences in the way you deal with cancer.” - LaTonya

LaTonya Davis is a 5 year triple negative breast cancer survivor who lost both her mother and sister to Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer. 

As a former collegiate sprinter, LaTonya approached cancer as an opponent who was strong and intimidating -- but beatable. A former marketer for fortune 500 companies, she managed luxury wine & spirit portfolios.
