As we enter 2025 and look forward to a second Trump Presidential Term, how does a nation that is "Captured by the Culture" correct its trajectory to chase the goal of becoming great, again?
Dr. Keith Rose presents several examples of how America may be "captured by culture" where society has become increasingly secular, with many people rejecting or downplaying the role of Christianity and God in public life, traditional family structures and values are under attack, with many people embracing non-traditional relationships and lifestyles and where moral absolutes are rejected in favor of subjective opinions and personal freedoms.
Dr. Rose also observes that Americans are losing their sense of civic duty and responsibility, with many people more focused on individual interests than the common good.
He notes that many churches are abandoning their traditional teaching on divorce and remarriage, instead embracing more permissive views and many Christians have become more focused on social justice issues than on sharing the Gospel or loving their neighbors.
By examining these trends and examples, Dr. Rose aims to illustrate how American culture may be influencing our thoughts, feelings, and actions in ways that contradict biblical teachings.
