No way to accurately decsribe this show. It was a terrific array of talent and interesting people doing cool things. Evan & Gareth, so talented, talked about their TV stuff and the process of creating shows for Comedy Central, MTV and why you never want to call a show "Failosophy." Vanda shared wide variety of experiences, near death and fully alive, combining spirituality and stand-up. Amy Solomon is a writer and studen at Princeton who is doing a project on the realtionship between mental health, depression and comedic genius-and The Hard Shine Blues Band rocked it with two great songs,...

What can I tell you, huge show, actually somewhat of a compilation show. Had a great conversation with Greg Fitzsimmons abour life, balance, family and why there were planes circling overhead. Caught up with Kevin Kataoka in NY, as he prepped for a comedy tour with W. Kmau Bell while working on FX's Totally Biased with W. Kmau Bell. We had music by great singer songwriter Oded Gross and Dr. Michael Solomon did psychodrama with me, he is amazing, therapeutic role-play, wow! Enjoy!

Another great show taped live at The Cows End Cafe in Venice, CA. Great to catch up with writer, producer and comedian Bill Riback. Billy has written and produced many sitcoms including Home Improvement for 6 seasons. We talked about comedy, therapy and teaching kids how to do standup, and explored his relationship with his own dad and how that shaped his comedy. But we don't stop there, from the world of self help; a chiropractor who heals with among other things; crystals. Jim Platts is very wise and very gifted. Then we had music by singer/songwriter Billy Kent, who has written for...

We're back to doing the show live! This time from The Cow's End Cafe, a block from the beach in Venice, CA! Really fun show, Big Show! Cathy Ladman talked Ferguson, Hitler and vulnerability. Chris Mancini and Graham Elwood talked film; one about Graham's doc "Laughganistan" about performing in Afghanistan, and Chris shared his story of a film he wrote and sold to Bulgaria, also his book "Pacify Me" a guide for new dads. Grant Baciocco sang two great songs, one "Our Love Is Like" is a song I demand he plays everytime I see him. Grant is very busy working with The Jim Henson Company doing...

This was a great conversation with writer/performer/host and former therapist Kelly Carlin. What happens when you move beyond your background and beyond your story? I can't tell you, but Kelly can. The daughter of George Carlin comes into her own.

The Self Help Comedy Hour with Ed Crasnick #16 Special Guest: Jonathan KatzThere is only one Jonathan Katz; supremely funny and insightful! Love talking with him and I apologize for talking like Larry King. He has his own style, rhythm, the sharpest timing on the planet. And even though he felt displaced in comedy early on, his audience found him. A great talk! Jonathan introduced himself to my folks years ago by saying "Ed is a very funny comedian, but why does he have to work so blue?"
info_outlineIf you love to laugh and grieve, this is the show for you! Great conversation with the hysterically funny Todd Glass, and old friend who is one the best comedians working today. Todd loves standup, and he's great at it, always fresh and always real on stage-which is something very rare. Then we have an encore medley from The Blanks, totally entertaining and unique acapella band who were also known as Ted's Band on the show Scrubs. Then, a fascinating conversation with a guy who has a great sense of humor, and who is The CEO of The Miss Foundation; an organization that helps families deal with the loss of a child. We talked about how Barry deals with the loss of his own daughter Erica, and how he helps others through The Miss Foundation and also is working to get a bill passed in congress to support families dealing with loss.
