Servant PT Podcast

One of my least favorite sayings is that God will never give you more than you can handle. We have to put our faith in him that we can accomplish what we thought might be impossible. If you’re in a situation you feel like you can’t handle, remember the story of David and Goliath. Sometimes we need a tiny stone to beat the hardships in our lives. Episode 135: New respect for people in pain show art Episode 135: New respect for people in pain

Servant PT Podcast

A couple days ago, I hurt my shoulder, it randomly started hurting and I don’t know how it happened. I couldn’t sleep, hurt to do things that I do on a daily basis. As a physical therapist I ask my patients how their pain arose, a lot of the times they don’t know, it just started flaring up. Now I understand that feeling, when people are in pain, it really starts to drain you and can change your mood quickly. This experience helped me tremendously and will allow me to become a greater physical therapist because of the new perspective. I challenge all medical professionals to look at...

Episode 134: Never know what someone is going through on the inside show art Episode 134: Never know what someone is going through on the inside

Servant PT Podcast

Mental health is still a prevalent issue in today’s world. What makes it hard is you never know what someone is truly going through. But its hard because there is a stigma for going to get help and talking about what is happening in your life. Once I decided to talk to a counselor it changed my life and the changes I made to improve my daily life. Be sensitive if someone approaches you about something they are dealing with, even just listening will go a long way.  Check out my first published book on Amazon! You can find me on Facebook! We have the habit of trying to compete and compare what we have with other people. Comparing ourselves to others is a very dangerous game, we are all special in our own rights, each of us have something special to bring to the table. Let's work on competing against ourselves and getting better everyday.   Check out my first published book on Amazon! You can find me on Facebook! Instagram Check out my new books on Amazon. Servant PT Podcast

Everyone has a story that is important to tell. Our story is powerful and can help others who are going through a tough time as well, because they realize that they are not alone and others are going through similar things. We don’t know how much time we have on this earth, the person that you are supposed to talk to may not be here next time. Don’t wait until the next time, because you never know. Time is precious, share with people now. Check out my first published book on Amazon! You can find me on Facebook! Instagram Check out my new books on Amazon. Links below!

I just got back from SSPT live on Memorial Day weekend. It was a great experience, getting to meet a lot of people who have made an impact in my life. In this episode I take a step back and reflect on my past experiences. Beginning in PT school, I was lonely, afraid, missing home and that took me down a very dark road. It was very rough, it lead to drinking, acting out, less aware of my surroundings, angry with myself. It got so bad, I pointed a gun at my head and pulled the trigger. We can take both positive and negative action in our life. The negative actions can wear on you and the more it piles on, it becomes overwhelming and you don’t progress. Use my story, if I can get past my demons, you can also! Call me, message me, reach out to someone. Don’t pull the trigger, don’t believe the lies. You can get through the hard times.

Have you ever thought that you haven’t made a difference in someone’s life? I presented at a breakout session at SSPT live and I got to talk to about 30 people, it was an awesome experience. But I doubted whether I would bring value to those attendees. But after the talk people came up to me and hugged me and were thankful that I presented. When we doubt ourselves we steal joy from other people. There is someone else who needs to hear what you say, someone who will relate to your story. We all have gifts and talents, and we have to use our reach to serve the people the best we can. Give yourself permission to live your life and follow your dreams!
