Tres—Ilana Boltvinik and Rodrigo Viñas—is an art research collective based in Mexico City. They explore the implications of garbage on critical ecosystems, relying upon artistic inquiry, science, anthropology, and archeology, among other disciplines. Their exquisitely beautiful and challenging work ranges from tracking plastics in the ocean to mining for precious metals in abandoned electronic devices as well as the study of vultures and our reckoning with space trash.
