Hey there MonsterTalkers. We're not dead and I'm not on vacation. I'm happy to report that I've got a new job and have spent the past couple of weeks working on a software project that is nearing its first release. In the meantime Karen and I have been recording interviews, but those require edits and I haven't had time to get everything done to my level of satisfaction.
But episodes are coming! I should be able to get our next one out this weekend and another by the end of the month. I'm doing some work on managing our workflow that I hope will put us ahead. In a perfect world we'd have several edited episodes in the can ready to release and the few times in the history of the show when I've managed to stay ahead of that it's been delightful.
We've got a fun episode dealing with Asian folklore monsters, some classic monster/science discussion on bacteria, and more. And we've been releasing YouTube content along the way as well so be sure and check out http://youtube.com/monstertalk if you want a quick fix in the gap here.
Thank you all so much for your patience and support! The new job was a real lifesaver for my family and I literally wouldn't have it were it not for the support of this audience. (And especially one listener in particular who knows who they are.)
