Don’t Walk Away From the Mirror - James 1:23-24 There’s a certain kind of honesty that only shows up when you’re standing in front of a mirror. Not the mirror you check before you leave the house. I’m talking about the mirror that tells the truth. The mirror that doesn’t care about your title, your age, your résumé, or your excuses. The mirror that shows you you. James says that hearing God’s Word without doing anything about it is like looking in that mirror, seeing something wrong, and then walking away like you didn’t see a thing. And family…...

Welcome all my new friends here. Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” If God is close to the brokenhearted, then being brokenhearted is not a disqualification. It’s a location where He meets us. Shalom baby, Kenn

Psalm 23:4 Family, everybody loves to talk about worship on the mountaintop. When the sun is shining, the bills are paid, the body feels strong, and the future looks bright — oh, we know how to worship then. But the older I get, the more I realize: the deepest worship doesn’t come from the mountain. It comes from the valley.

Every one of us knows what it feels like to love people who don’t always love us back. Some of the deepest wounds don’t come from strangers — they come from kinfolk. People who share our blood but not our values. People who take our time, drain our peace, and expect access without accountability. The Bible does not hide this reality. It speaks honestly about takers, users, manipulators, and relatives who bring strife instead of peace. Today’s message is not about bitterness. It’s about clarity, wisdom, and boundaries that honor God.

Brothers and sisters, we often hear people say, “Life is good” or “Life is hard.” But the truth is—life itself doesn’t change. Life is simply life. You either have it, or you don’t. The labels we put on it—good, bad, hard, joyful—are shaped by our perspective in the moment.

“My God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19 “Even to your old age, I will be the same… I will carry you.” — Isaiah 46:4 “Forsake me not when my strength faileth.” — Psalm 71
info_outline7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
