THAT MUSIC MEANS IT’S TIME FOR DOC SHOC. A TIME WHEN WE FIND SOMETHING SHOCKING IN THE NEWS OR WE’RE SHOCKED IT MADE THE NEWS.

I’ve said it time and time again: sleep is important!  A new study out of Pennsylvania State University found a link between sleep deprivation and dehydration.  That’s right, not sleeping enough can make you dehydrated.  The researchers found that people who slept less than 6 hours a night were 16-59% more likely to be dehydrated than those that slept a full 8 hours.  Why, you ask?  Vasopressin.  Vasopressin is an antidiuretic hormone that controls water balance throughout the body.  Scientists believe that lack of sleep leads to a malfunction of the release of this hormone.  So, rest up!  Your body depends on it!  Remember to sleep at least 7.5-9 hours a night.
