I started posting a new Biblical Studies Series on "The Love of God." To really understand the love of God, you have to go to the Bible. You can not go by what you hear from people. They may be right, or they may be wrong. We will read the Bible in this series and see what it says. Not from what people say. Not from what movies, songs or poetry says. What we hear from the world philosophy...

444 – In Jesus' Name

The Notes from the Podcast
God bless you. Below are all the Scriptures written out and my notes so you can follow along with the podcast “In Jesus' Name.” I'm still seeking spiritual matters and learning how to edify the church. God does nothing on our behalf without going through Jesus Christ. That's why we will look at the topic of “In Jesus' Name.” We will conclude with the thought that we do have the mind of Christ. It is Christ is in us, It is Christ behind all our five senses so that we can know the mind of Christ.
John 14:3 - 15 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Jesus does nothing apart from God. He always does God's will. If you've seen Jesus, you've seen what God is like. If we ask anything in his name, he will do it.
Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
God gave the all power to him.
Hebrews 2:8 “Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.”
Colossians 1:18 – 20 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”
Jesus Christ is the head of the body, the church. He's our Lord and Savior.
1 Corinthians 15:27 – 28 “For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”
Jesus is the head of everything but one exception, God. God and Jesus Christ work together. Jesus is called second in command.
1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
Let's look at what Jesus Christ is doing. We ask in his name.
John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
John 16:23 – 24 “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”
So again, we ask in His name.
John 14:13 – 14 “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
Jesus carries it out.
John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Acts 1:1 “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,”
During the gospel period, Jesus began to do and to teach. After the day of Pentecost, Jesus continued to do and to teach.
Acts 4:24 – 31 “And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: 25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? 26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. 27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, 28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”
Acts 4:33 “And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.”
Acts 5:12 “And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.”
Mark 16:19 – 20 “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
Who works with them? Jesus Christ was. He is still working with us.
Acts 9:32 - 34 “And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda. 33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. 34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.”
Who does the healing? Does God, Jesus Christ, the person who needs the healing, or the person doing the ministering? Yes, all of them. We all work together. You could say it another way: Who's doing the believing? The person who needs the healing, and the person doing the ministering. Everybody works together. God and Jesus Christ already believe. If God says it, he'll do it. Jesus Christ always does the will of God. They work togther.
Galatians 1:1 “Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)”
They always work together God gives the directions. Jesus Christ carries them out.
1 Thessalonians 3:11 “Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.”
John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Jesus has many things to say to us, and he will say them to us. He will share with us what we need to know when we need to know it, and how to accomplish what we need to accomplish.
1 Corinthians 2:9 – 13 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
We will be able to learn the Deep things of God as we continue to read and study God's Word. As we learn some things, God can bring deeper meaning and understanding to us as we continue in God's Word and operating the manifestations.
Colossians 2:2 – 3 “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
We have access to all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. We are not done being able to learn and teach as we learn.
1 Corinthians 2:16 “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
We have Christ within us, behind all our five senses. As much as the blood is in every cell of our body, so is the Christ within us. We can get information from the Christ within us as we search, ask questions, and teach others.
May God bless you Abundantly!
