God 484 – The Ministry of Jesus Christ Below are written all the Scriptures and some of my notes, making it easy for you to follow along with the lesson right from your devices. To teach everything involved in Jesus Christ's ministry would take many hours, but here's a teaching on the part of Jesus Christ's Ministry that we can see from the Bible. John 8:28b & 29 “I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” His father, God, taught...

God 483 – The Beginnings of Jesus Christ Ministry Below are written all the Scriptures and some of my notes, making it easy for you to follow along with the lesson right from your devices. In God's Word, there are many beginnings to the life of Jesus Christ. There are many parts of beginning His life, just like every other human being. Sometimes, we might go to college or some other endeavor. I'm thinking about what the beginning of your college career is. Is it the day you start school and take your first class? Yes, that is, but what about the preparation? When you apply, when you get...

God 482 – Faithful What does it mean to be faithful? All of us endeavoring to do our best for God want to be faithful. To understand how to be faithful, let's look at what it is to be faithful today. 1 Corinthians 4:1 & 2 “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” What does it mean to be faithful? Let's look at it closely. Being faithful does not mean being perfect because nobody can be perfect. Only one person ever was perfect, and that was our Lord and...

God 481 – Prayer Two essential things or activities that believers should be involved in to live victoriously and abundantly are praying and reading the Scriptures. Here at our fellowship, we read the Scriptures and have a vital prayer life. Today, we're going to look at the basics of praying. Below, I have written out all The Scriptures and my notes, making it easy for you to follow along. Matthew 6:5 – 13 “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men....

God 479 – Stand in Grace It's not always easy to know what to do. You make the best decision you can. Starting by asking God, studying all your options, and thinking about it. When you feel at peace, go ahead with it. Sometimes, changes will need to be made. You may even have to start over, but God is always there with us to help us along the way. Romans 5:2 “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Standing in Grace means we can change our minds to get the desired results following God's guidance. Matthew 6:25 –...

God 478 – My Ministry of God's Word God bless. I started this podcast by introducing my new page on my website, The Calendar and Monthly Newsletter page, and I read it. Then I explained my Ministry is a Ministry of The Word, meaning The Word of God. Then, I explain why, in everything I do, my main focus and concentration is. It is The Word, The Word, The Word, nothing but The Word. Luke 4:1 – 4 “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when...

God 477 – Victory in Christ We can have victory in Christ in many categories of our lives. Victory over the world, over unbelief, over selfishness, over indifference, over Temptations, over Pride, over fear, over Trouble, over sin, over death, over defeat, and many other things. John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 14:12 – 16 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall...

God 476 – The Bible and Revelation. At the end of our workshop last week, I mentioned that Jesus Christ lived his life and ran his ministry by the written Word of God and by revelation. Now, He has commissioned the Believers to do the same thing in this Administration. To live by the Word of God and by revelation. Mark 11:22 – 24 “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he...

God 475 – God Works Joseph knew what God wanted. He knew it because of the Word of God that he was taught to him by his father and by the Word of God that God taught him. In the Old Testament, there's plenty of learning, education, and good knowledge about how to walk with God, but you have to read it distinctly and slowly. Asking God for understanding and being meek. Genesis 41:28 – 44 “This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh. 29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: 30 And there shall...

483 – The Beginnings of Jesus Christ Ministry
Below are written all the Scriptures and some of my notes, making it easy for you to follow along with the lesson right from your devices.
When you apply, when you get accepted, when you purchase the things that you need. These are all beginnings. Today, we will look at the beginnings of Jesus Christ's Ministry.
John 1:29 2:25 “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. 31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. 32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. 35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! 37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? 39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. 40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. 43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me. 44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! 48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. 49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. 50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. 51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
John 2:1 – 25 “ And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. 11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. 12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days. 13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, 14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; 16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. 17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. 18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. 23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. 24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, 25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.”
To keep with the chronological order of events, what happens in chapters 3, 4, and 5 of John occurs while he's in Jerusalem. Chapter 3 is the record of Nicodemus. Chapter 4 has the record of the woman of Samaria who drew water for Jesus Christ, and Chapter 5 has other things at a feast in Jerusalem. Looking at the end of Chapter 5, we see this.
John 5:46 &47 “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”
What happens in John's chapter 6 occurs much later in chronological order. In the Gospel of Luke, chapter 4, what happens between verse 1 and verse 13 all happens before what we just read in John 1:29 through to John 5:47 in chronological order. Then comes Luke 4:14.
Luke 4:14 -21 “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”
This occurs shortly after the Passover feast, which we just read from the Gospel of John.
Luke 4:31 &32 “And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. 32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.”
Until the next time we get together, may God bless you abundantly.
