info_outlineWe're going tropical in today's show, as Tim Huynh calls in during his lunch break in Honolulu, Hawaii. A fantastic street photographer, with a background in professional video and an active stream-of-consciousness blogger.
We first ran into Tim Huynh, during his visit to San Francisco at this year's Streetfoto International Street Photography Festival and after seeing his image on the wall of finalists and watching him grin through a brutal slaying by Bruce Gilden, Don Hudson and Michelle Groskopf in the Cage Match, we knew we wanted to get deeper into a Hawaii islanders take on street photography.
Throughout this one, we discuss his outlook on street photography in Hawaii, the extent of open territory available to burgeoning artists and the unique take aways one can gain from a visit to the picturesque island of O'ahu. His approach to documenting the beach and at one point, we even go over the comparisons Tim draws between street photography and professional wrestling.
If you're looking for a laid back talk on street, this is the episode for you.
