Janis' mother was Yvonne Gillham Jentzsch who founded the Scientology Celebrity Centre in 1968. Yvonne was an original Sea Project member in 1966. The Sea Project became the Sea Org in 1967. Janis' father is the legendary Scientology Peter Gillham. Janis' sister Terri Gamboa was also an original messenger along with Janis.
