info_outlineThis episode could change your life - I don't think I've ever said that about one of our episodes before! What if knowing a little more about your child's face (or even your own) could change how you approach all the challenges you or your child may be having from snoring or sleep apnea to ADHD? And it all starts BEFORE your baby is born!
Shirley Gutkowski is a grandma of three, mom of five and wife of going on 50 years! She has all her own hair, stopped coloring it a year ago and is the owner of Primal Air a company that helps people get their face to work right.
She is also the author of the first pre parenting book focused on development of the face. More Than a Kissing Spot: Your New Baby's Face is a simple and deep dive into all the things people need to know about the mouth and tongue before they are exhausted parents. www.primalair.com/kissing-spot
Biologists say that human babies are born about seven months early as compared to other mammals. Human babies are born earlier because of their head size; they’d never make it out at all if they lived in the womb for 16 months. Because of this early exit babies are extremely defenseless. All they have is their cuteness and crying to do everything necessary to get their needs met. It’s up to the “hard wiring” of maternal instinct to take over for the rest, including making sure the baby is breathing through their nose.
Shirley's book, More than a Kissing Spot: Your New Baby’s Face is the most important child development book written to date. Written for soon to be parents, it takes the mystery out of one of the most unusual organs in body, the tongue. The tongue is the most important driver of facial development, and rarely mentioned in discussions of the face.
You're going to love this show - she's a hoot and full of amazing information you do not want to miss one minute of this episode - Enjoy the show!
