The "Ed Wood Jr" of Audio Drama is featured in this podcast: Judson Fountain. In the late 1960's Judson took it upon himself to produced radio dramas for "radioland". He pressed them to vinyl and sent them to area radio stations. Not unlike Florence Foster Jenkins it's the passion of the artist, not the skill level that gives these pieces a curious appeal.

The I-35 Radio Rep proudly presents 'THE SCORCHED EARTH,' written by Bruce R. Coleman, a Science Fiction Radio Drama that focuses on the lives of a small group of ordinary people living in the Texas town of Makepeace ( 40 miles west of Decatur, circa 1976.)
Those lives are threatened when a mysterious and desperate stranger materializes out of a dark summer night along a deserted stretch of highway outside of MakePeace, located in North Central Texas.
His discovery changes the lives of a small group of locals, propelling them into a confrontation with the nature of physics, greed, disease, mortality, family, time and the potential annihilation of the human race.
