We live in a strange time where so many of use want to shop online for equipment designed to get us outside.  I get it! Shopping from the comfort of the couch at any time is very appealing. But so much of the equipment that we use for overland travel is really expensive and it would be nice to see it up close and explore it a bit before spending hard earned money.  Artemis Overland Hardware is located in Springfield, Missouri and you can visit them in person. You can see all that equipment in person, pick it up there, and head straight out for an adventure right from their shop.

Artemis Overland Hardware only stocks the best equipment.  Anything you pick is going to stand up to the harsh environments that you’ll be subjecting them to.

At ArtemisOverland.com you’ll find a wide selection of roof top tents and ground tents from companies like Oz Tent, 23Zero, Eezi Awn.  Outfit your camp kitchen with a SnoMaster Fridge, a Tembo Tusk Skottle, or a stove from Kovea or Front Runner. Devin in Edmonton, Canada

Hi Dan,

My name is Devin from Edmonton Alberta Canada. What’s that saying? Long time lurker first time caller? I’ve been listening to the podcast (among others) on my commute for the last two years, I really enjoy it and overland round table. I seem to work backwards listening to podcasts but hey still listening!

My family and I spend almost every weekend from late April to late October camping every weekend somewhere, you Know it’s bad when your 4 year old is confused when you stay in the city on a weekend.

Thanks to the podcast I’ve grown to love cast iron cooking and am getting a bit of a collection; it’s amazing to me the stuff that people say is garbage and sell it cheap or give it away...... throw it in the oven on self clean, a couple hours of seasoning and you’ve got a new pan for $3.00!

On my way home today I was listening to episode 75 #TBT Central Overland that played May 22, 2014. In it you made mention of a chicken, ranch pizza with beer dough(?) or along those lines that you make in your Dutch oven that sounded amazing I’m wondering if you would be willing to share with me the recipe?

Thanks a lot for the podcast, as I said I really enjoy it and am looking forward to more and more overland round table. Stay safe!

Devin Nicoll

Warn Industries Releases Semi-Hidden Kit Mounting System For Gen 2 / 2.5 Toyota Tacoma
Clackamas, OR (4/9/19) – Warn Industries has extended its line of popular Semi-Hidden Kit winch mounting systems by offering new applications for both 2005–2011 (gen 2)  and 2012–2015 (gen 2.5) Toyota Tacoma pickups. They join the Semi-Hidden Kit for 2016-2019 (gen 3) Tacoma and 2014–2019 4Runner which were introduced in 2018.

The new Semi-Hidden Kits help guard the Tacoma's front end from trail hazards while offering a secure place to mount a WARN® mid-frame winch up to 12,000 lbs. in capacity. The discrete style maintains the trucks' factory body lines, and their rugged 1/4" steel construction is exceedingly stout.

Other features include a welded-on 2" diameter single-hoop bull bar for protection, and thru-welded shackle mounts for increased recovery options. For the ultimate in corrosion protection, these bumpers wear a durable textured black powder-coated finish that undergoes a five-step pre-treatment process featuring zirconium nanotechnology, and withstand 408 hour salt spray tests. This will ensure the finish lasts and lasts.

Installation is simple with only minor trimming and  no need to relocate the winch's control pack.

These Semi-Hidden Kit mounting systems will accommodate all WARN mid-frame winches up to 12,000 lbs. with the exception of PowerPlant, 9.0Rc, and M8274. The winch's clutch lever is easily accessed by ports in the bumper.

Both of these mounting systems are made in the USA at the company's Clackamas, Oregon factory.
