Hall of Awesome is back and this time the nominee is Chevelle and their hit album Wonder Whats Next.  This album was a major hit, unleashing 4 singles that charted and selling over a million copies.  We break down all the monster moments on this album and check out what we picked for Rock Hard Track!  Will this album gain the Seal of Immortality?  ... We shall see.... Just the wheel was gracious this week and gave us A side/B side.  Our favorite game to play where we pick one of two choices as our preference.  Agree... Disagree.... let us know! Cheers!

The Cantina Review

Its another tuesday evening and we all know what that means... a new installment of the Cantina Review.  This week we get a new offering from long established rock band Alkaline Trio.  Their new album delivers on many levels and has a good hold on the Alkaline staple sound while still being able to get some new feels in.  Definitely an album worth checking out... Monster Moments? Rock Hard Tracks?  Check out the episode for all that goodness.   We spin Just the Wheel and get our least favorite Trivia.  But it's probably your favorite since we sound so terrible at...

The Cantina Review

Whats going down Cantina Crew?  We are excited to dive into the debut album from Hundred Suns called "Prestaliis".  This band band is a rocking trio comprised of members from established acts Norma Jean and Every Time I Die.  Although, a bit of departure from the hardcore sound of the aforementioned acts this record still pumps out some heavy riffage and serious grooves.  It's all wrapped up with some strong vocal performances and serious drum work, this album definitely delivers.  What did the guys think about it? What was the Six Pack Rating?  Check out the...

Another week has gone by and we know you have been patiently waiting for a new episode of the Cantina Review.  Well wait no longer.  We are bringing you an in depth review of "Sleeping Through The War" by All Them Witches.  This band is hard to nail down, they take influence from many places, but predominantly they mix stoner rock, ambience, and blues all in one crazy, fun package.  The guys talk about their initial reactions as well as Monster Moments and of course Rock Hard Tracks.  Check out what they picked.. do you agree?? Just the Wheel is a cruel cruel wheel and...

The Cantina Review

Whats up Cantina Crew?  This episode is jam packed with awesomeness.  We bring our good friend on the show, Leo Nardo.  He is involved heavily with Animal Rights and Animal Liberation and we get some amazing insight in the movement, what motivates him and how you can help!  For example, the Animal Rights March thats taking place this saturday, September 1st in NYC.   He also brought two demo's for us to check out, first is NYC punk "super-group" Cop/Out.  This is an old school 3 song demo that was recorded by the band.  It's a fresh take in todays polished...

The Cantina Review

Welcome  back Cantina Crew!  You know we love our Hall of Awesome episodes, and this record is one of our faves of all time.  Post-Hardcore trend setter "The Artist in the Ambulance" by Thrice.  This album is one of those that you just push play, sit back and listen to a masterpiece.  We break the album down to our criteria for achieving the Seal of Immortality, what will it score? What are the moments and Rock Hard Tracks? Check out the episode for those answers and more. Just the Wheel is swing and bringing us the ever awkward Marry, F***, Kill.  Think last time...

The Cantina Review

We celebrate our 50th episode by getting into one of our favorite albums ever and nominating it for the Hall of Awesome.  It's non other than Nirvana's mega-hit, Nevermind.  This album shattered the earth on its release, and is credited with starting the grunge movement as well as destroying hair metal.  Although, we do love our hair metal here on the Cantina. It's only fitting that 50 episodes in we try out something new, thanks to our friend "Just the Wheel".  Check out the brain power of  Jay Bray and Davis when they try some trivia. 50 episodes is a whole lotta...
