Tim Wise is one of America's and the world's leading experts on white privilege and racism. He is the author of numerous books including his most recent Dispatches from the Race War.

He explains how white rage and white privilege have been combined in the Jim Crow Republican Party’s very successful “critical race theory” bogeyman attacks as seen in Virginia (and soon around the country) against the Democrats, the very idea of public education, and the teaching of America’s real history of racial inequality and injustice.

Wise also highlights how these “critical race theory” attacks are a manifestation of a desire by white parents and others invested in the many big and small lies of Whiteness to create their own white “safe space” where the humanity of brown and black people is marginalized and ultimately ignored.

And Tim Wise explains exactly how the Democrats and others can successfully fight back against the Jim Crow Republicans’ white supremacist “critical race theory” bogeyman attacks.
