Eleven days after an insect / spider bite Jamie has been to A & E as his ankle kept swelling. He was recommended to take some antihistamine tablets and went off to buy some. He explained he had a lot going on in his head, not in a stressful way but in a good way, and had taken 5 minutes to sit in the garden and forgot they were due to record. Gill wants to talk about a particular topic to do with sustainability, which in part has come from the book she reading 'Less' by Patrick Grant, and the use of terry nappies! They chat about the pros and cons of terry nappies v. disposable ones not just on the environment but also on the child. Gill firmly believes that it does have an impact on when toddlers are clean and dry.
She describes how in the book so many things are lead by big companies and their marketing and PR to convince people to use them. Jamie talks about an article he's read about the importance of touch to babies and how they learn from it.
They end up discussing the cost of electricity and question the various reasons why we're not seeing more solar panels on buildings etc.
