He is the author of two books, one titled “Creative8- Healing Through Creativity and Self-Expression,” and the other titled “Find Your True Voice!”
Dr. Fred describes how he was born into a home of chaos and disarray, and realized at a young age that he was born to bring love and joy into the family, and he also knew that one day he would be called on to be a communicator. His parents and two older brothers taught him how to read, write, and do math even before starting kindergarten.
He also shares his unbridled enthusiasm and excitement about starting school as a young child, thinking he could practice his communication skills with open discussion and discourse with his teachers. He was wrong.
Dr. Fred tells his journey of going from being a two-time college dropout to working in a state mental health facility for adolescents, which triggered his desire to become a psychiatrist. He returned to college to complete his undergraduate degree and go on to medical school. During this transition, he realized that as much as he loved psychiatry, he did not like being a psychiatrist, and knew that there had to be other options to help people with mental health concerns.
